About the Online Image Resizer

Different platforms require different image sizes: e-commerce product images, blog covers, profile pictures and social posts each have their own recommended dimensions. This tool lets you adjust width and height in exact pixels, with presets for common platforms and multiple scaling modes such as keep-ratio, crop-fill and stretch, all ready for batch output.

No software installation is needed — upload images and resize them online, then download the results in one click. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported, and you can opt out of upscaling to avoid quality loss on small source images.

What do width and height mean when resizing?

Resizing changes the image's width and height in pixels. The PNG specification defines those fields as pixel counts. JPG and WebP dimensions are pixel counts too. The sentence below is from the specification, not a measurement from this site.

“Width and height give the image dimensions in pixels. They are PNG four-byte unsigned integers. Zero is an invalid value.”

Image Resizer FAQ

Is this image resizer free?

Yes, completely free. All site tools share a daily quota of 20 uses, and each process counts once; uploads and downloads are not counted.

What is the difference between scaling modes?

Fit inside keeps the ratio and the whole image; crop-fill fills the target size and crops the overflow from the center; contain scales to fully show the image; stretch fills by force; and crop outside crops beyond the target size.

Can small images be enlarged?

Upscaling is allowed by default. If you enable "Do not upscale", images smaller than the target size stay at their original size to avoid quality loss.
