About the Online GIF Compressor
GIF animations are widely used on social media, chat stickers and blog posts, but raw GIFs are often too large to upload and load quickly. This tool compresses GIF file size by optimizing the palette, dropping frames and tuning encoding parameters, making animations smaller and faster to load while preserving quality and frame count as much as possible.
It supports batch uploading of multiple GIF files and downloading them as an archive, with up to 25MB per file. No software installation is required — upload and compress online, then save the results to your device. Ideal for stickers, tutorial animations and product demo assets.
Which spec stores a GIF's frames?
GIF compression and GIF crop both edit the same animation format. Frames and playback are defined in GIF89a. The sentence below is from that specification, not a measurement from this site.
“The Graphics Interchange Format(sm) defines a protocol intended for the on-line transmission and interchange of raster graphic data in a way that is independent of the hardware used in their creation or display.”
GIF Compression FAQ
Does compression change the GIF size or frame rate?
The default goal is to reduce the encoded file size. Whether to resize or drop frames depends on the backend strategy and the actual result.
Are transparent GIFs supported?
If the source file has an alpha channel, it is usually preserved. Extreme settings may leave artifacts; try a different level.
Are there limits on upload size or count?
The frontend allows up to 30 files per batch and 25MB per file; the exact quota depends on the backend and account policy.
